National Kidney Federation and the General Election
APRIL: NATIONAL KIDNEY FEDERATION and the GENERAL ELECTION May 2010
During the last parliament 175 Members of Parliament and Lords supported the needs of kidney patients – they did this in a number of ways, including joining the ALL Party Parliamentary Kidney Group. The NKF asked members to find out where their prospective candidates stood in relation to kidney and transplant issues. I wrote to three Newcastle-under-Lyme candidates and I received a thoughtful and considered response from the Labour and Liberal Democratic candidates but nothing from the Conservative.
