My Reserve Challenges!!
I realised early on that I had not allowed myself any leeway in the event of failing a challenge. I therefore sought for and found three ‘reserve’ challenges.
I took part in the World Bog Snorkelling Championships in Llanwrtyd Wells.

The event was sponsored by Ben and Jerry’s Ice-cream! I was accompanied by a Powergen Staywarm representative and a photographer as I had won a Cool Over 60s Award! As a result I did not even dirty my own towel! |
I abseiled off the YMCA tower in Hanley to support Kidney Research

I Wing Walked at Rendcomb Air Field in Gloucester

More recently, I couldn’t resist taking part in a 500m ‘Breastrokes’ swim in the Serpentine in Hyde Park. This was an inaugural event of the Open Swimming Society in aid of Cancer Research UK
